Young Mansfield Town duo sign contract extensions

Mansfield Town midfielder Keaton Ward and left-back Jaden Charles have signed extended contracts at the One Call Stadium.

Ward, 21, made six substitute appearances for the Stags last season and one start since signing on a free transfer from Barnsley in March. A Stags’ Academy graduate, he was born at King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield and originates from Forest Town.

Charles, 19, appeared twice as a substitute last season after penning a short-term contract in late March. Son of former England international Gary, he was formerly at Derby County’s academy for ten years.

The duo have penned one year deals.
