Wrens boss Rickards quits
Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Club Rainworth MW will start the 2014/15 season without player/manager Scott Rickards who tendered his resignation yesterday.
Rickards had found it increasingly difficult to combine the post with his ever increasing workload in his job and felt it was in everyone’s interest that he stepped down at this time.
Assistant manager Dean Short will take charge in the short term, starting with Saturday’s fixture away at Leek Town.
A club spokesman said: “The committee would like to thank Scott for all the work he has done for the club and will make a decision on the vacant manager’s post in due course.”
