Wigan Athletic vs Mansfield Town preview: Injury news, how to watch, referee, League One form and H2H record
Mansfield Town will look to put their derby day defeat behind them and get the show back on the road in League One this evening.
Stags will travel to the Brick Community Stadium to face Wigan Athletic later today, following their disappointing result against Notts County.
Nigel Clough was visibly disappointed with his side’s performance on Saturday, describing it as a ‘shadow’ of what fans have seen in recent weeks.
Mansfield will be eager to come away with a positive result in the bag against Wigan and reset back to what has been working for them both at home and on the road.

What time is kick-off?
The match will get underway at 7.45pm GMT at Wigan’s Brick Community Stadium.
Mansfield Town latest injury news
Stags sorely missed both Liam Thompson and George Abbott in midfield against Notts County.
Thompson is expected to be out for a while after suffering a significant calf injury but Abbott's availability is ‘50/50’ for tonight.
Lucas Akins, Baily Cargill and David McGoldrick are all absent.

Wigan Athletic vs Mansfield Town form and H2H record
Stags’ derby defeat saw them drop to 12th in the League One table after their six-game unbeaten run came to an end. The result was also the first time they had lost a league match at the One Call Stadium since February.
Mansfield have five wins, three draws and four losses on the board now with an almost even goal balance (20 scored, 18 conceded).
Wigan head into the game sitting in the danger zone. The Latics have lost nine of their 13 games played so far and are currently 21st in the table, but they will have a spring in their step after coming out on top of a 3-2 thriller against Bromley last time out.
The win at the weekend was just their third of the season and they’ve conceded 22 goals so far while scoring 11.
Mansfield Town and Wigan have played each other 37 times in their history, stretching back to their first meeting in 1957. Wigan have the better record with 20 wins to Stags’ 11, while the other six games ended in draws.
Stags haven’t beaten the Latics since October 2024, so a win tonight will be a real boost for the spirits in the amber and blue camp.
