Sunderland top the disciplinary table in the Premiership, with 112 points, Preston North End (325) and Peterborough United (275) head up the Championship and League One respectively.
Northampton’s Jason Taylor is the only player in the top four tiers to receive two red cards, with the first coming against Barnet, followed by a straight red for an apparent elbow to the face of Oxford United midfielder Callum O’Dowda.

The FA disciplinary system awards four points for a yellow card and ten points for red cards earned for denial of a goal scoring opportunity or dismissal for two cautions. Twelve points are awarded for violent conduct, serious foul play, spitting or offensive and abusive language.
