“We've got to heed our warnings that the Government are giving us. They are best placed and best educated to advise us.

“Some of the tales that are coming out are scary – shut-downs, behind-closed-doors, quarantine and self-isolation, rations on supermarket shelves.

“Some of it is a little bit alarming. But, touch wood, we'll get the grips with it and it doesn't affect the football calendar, the football club, the football team or the football players.”
