Here are a few pointers if you’re undecided on who will get your vote.

Alfreton’s highlight of the season has to undoubtedly be the 13-game unbeaten run from Boxing Day to February 27, 2016.

Among the squad who has shone this term include goalkeeper Matt Duke. The vastly experienced keeper has pulled off an impressive array of saves and deservedly won Vanarama National North Player of the Month for February.

Then there is Niall Heaton, a long throw specialist and vastly improved central defender, who can also operate at left-back, has had Football League scouts twitching.

A man known for his set-piece delivery is Andi Thanoj. Deadly with free-kicks and corners, he is a classy midfielder who never let’s the side down. Now in his second season with Reds.

Lindon Meikle is another who has impressed. It’s no coincidence that his arrival in December was linked with Alfreton’s revival. The winger was on losing side first three games, but Reds have lost only twice in league and cup ties since.

Sam Jones is a popular midfielder and is top scorer by a country mile. However sent off on March 12, he misses three games in Reds’ run-in, but has more than compensated with massive development throughout the season.

Signed from Matlock Town early last year, Joe Leesley is a utility player who always gives 100 per cent.

This brief introduction wouldn’t be complete without Dan Bradley. The ever-popular midfielder is very pacy and has numerous Man of the Match awards in his four seasons at the lmpact Arena. Also a regular goalscorer.

So, who from the squad will get your Player of the Year vote? Good luck!
