Vote is open for Player of the Year
As we near the end of a very strange season, we are again asking you to name your Chad Readers' Stags Player of the Year.
With fans locked out of the ground due to the Covid pandemic, many of you have watched the games from home via the Stags iFollow streaming service.
That has often been painful viewing as potential wins turned to draws or potential draws turned to defeats.
Things certainly took an upturn after the arrival of Nigel Clough to replace Graham Coughlan as manager in November, with that five game winning streak a real highlight.
It showed that parts of this squad, both experienced and young players, offer rich promise of a better season next time around with the right additions.
The early season displays of midfielder George Lapslie were certainly eye-catching as have been the unselfish hard work of Jordan Bowery up front, who has topped the scoring charts.
Skipper Ollie Clarke's drive, the quality of fellow midfielder George Maris and the calm experience and flexibility of defender James Perch will doubtless earn all of them some of the vote.
But who would be your choice for the accolade?
Simply email us at [email protected] with your choice along with your name and address by midnight on Sunday, 9th May, when the season will have ended, and we will announce the winner a day later and when we might be allowed to present them with their trophy.
