VIDEO: Stags boss sends special birthday message to Mansfield soldier
Lifelong Stags fan Corporal Christoper Wilson, currently serving in Iraq, will be 26 tomorrow (Tuesday) and dad Steve asked the Chad if they could organise for Evans to send him as message as he would be thrilled, and the manager was delighted to oblige.
Christopher is due back in December when he will receive his campaign medal.

Steve and Christopher are both from Mansfield, Steve being Ladybrook born and bred, though now living in Derby, while Christopher grew up on Abbot Lea.
“I am so happy that we could get the birthday message sorted – I am welling up,” said Steve.
“We are both lifelong Stags fans, as was my late mother and her father before that.
“My granddad was at the first ever league match at Field Mill and was also there for the Forest game, which was our largest ever attendance.”
