VIDEO: Mansfield Town boss Adam Murray assesses players' return to training

Stags started with a team meeting on Monday morning at Brooksby College before a bleep test and then a training session in the afternoon.

New signing Patrick Hoban was pictured alongside Mitchell Rose, Matt Green and James Baxendale as the squad were put through their paces.

Boss Murray gave his assessment on the start to pre-season training.

“We are extremely pleased with the condition and mentality in which the players have returned to pre-season,” he said.

“Pre-season is always a grueling time and after gauging the results from our first day of pre-season, I am pleased to note that preparations for 2016-17 have got off to a positive start.”

Stags begin their pre-season programme of fixtures on Saturday with a trip to NCEL Premier neighbours Rainworth Miners Welfare. Kick-off 3pm.
