Grayson was a firm favourite at Hall Corner during his previous spell as a player between 2008-2010, when he scored 25 goals in 89 appearances in the Evo-Stik League.

He is a legend in football circles and has bags of experience of all levels of football, most notably in the Football League with the likes of Northampton Town and Cheltenham Town.

During his time with the Cobblers, he scored the club’s fastest ever hat-trick with three goals in five minutes against Hartlepool while he also scored Cheltenham’s first ever Football League goal with a strike against Mansfield Town in 1999.

He teams up again with Jordan Hall, having worked with him previously at Heanor Town in the second half of the 2012-2013 season, when the pair guided the Lions to an 11th place finish in the NCEL Premier.

He has most recently played for Carlton Town and Heanor as well as a spell with Sutton Town.

Meanwhile, Jordan Hall has also added former Chesterfield youth and Belper Town player John Styring as the club’s new goalkeeping coach.
