AFC Mansfield crashed out of the FA Cup on Saturday, with a 2-1 defeat at South Normanton.
It was a game that saw two players sent off, before a late goal gave the hosts safe passage to the next round.
By the 20 minute mark the Bulls were on top with better possession and quality, but the Normanton defence stood firm.
With five minutes left in the half all hell broke loose.
Bulls skipper Chris Timons went up for a header and landed on the Normanton keeper, and appeared to tangle with him on the ground.
When they got up, Ste Smith threw punches, and the pair were sent off.
Not long after the restart, Normanton were ahead, Kane Yellyman thumping home from close range.
The Bulls equaliser came on 67 minutes after Danny Naylor hit the bar for Mansfield and the ball landed at Craig Mitchell’s feet who took on a defender on and smacked the ball into the roof of the net.
But Normanton got the winner on 80 minutes when winger Ant Fay twisted and turned until he found Shane Newton who curled the ball with power into the opposite top corner to put Normanton in the next round of the FA cup.
Bulls: Whit, Cheesman, Dudley, Allott, Timons, Naylor, Williams, Buxton, Rick (67 Mitchell), Lucas, Ghaichem.
