Trophy hunters raid York City’s Bootham Crescent ground
The Minstermen have moved away from their home of nearly 90 years, playing their final game there over Christmas and their first in the city’s new Community Stadium in February.
The club is auctioning items from the old ground and selling seats to raise funds for the club, whose Conference North season has been voided.

Hide AdThe thefts have also delayed the sensitive work of relocating ashes and urns underneath the pitch and increased the cost of security at the city centre ground.
The club have asked that anyone with information about the break-ins contact them directly.
