Tom Ellis hat-trick fires Pinxton to 5-0 win at Harrowby
Pinxton, who were without Jason Fisher, Josh Parker, Jake Vernon and Pete Stubley, started well and should have been ahead as early as the sixth minute when Chris Shelton forced the keeper to make a good save.
Bamford and O’Donnell both went close with early free kicks and, on 16 minutes, an excellent O’Donnell throughball found Ellis, who really should have scored but took too long to get his shot off.

But Pinxton went ahead a minute later when Harrowby failed to clear their lines properly from a Pinxton corner and an incisive throughball from Darren Bettison found Josh Madin still in the opposition box.
He calmly squared the ball across goal for Kurtis Bamford to score the easiest of tap-ins.
It was 2-0 just after the half hour mark when Danny O’Donnell beat his man and cut the ball back for Tom Ellis who scored with a first-time shot.

Hide AdPinxton took a firm grip on the game on the stroke of half-time when Bettison played in Ellis for his second of the game.
Pinxton continued to boss the second half and Ellis completed a well-deserved hat-trick on 56 minutes when a Bettison free-kick caused bother in the box allowing Ellis to pick up the pieces and score.
The excellent Josh Madin started and finished the move for the final goal when he hit a ball up to Cook who beat his man.
Bamford made an over-lapping run and Cook back heeled the ball into his path, who then picked out Madin to finish superbly.
