Current Stag Jordan Bowery is among them but the selection here goes back as far as 1977 when Ian McDonald was a promotion-winner with Mansfield Town.
5. GARETH JELLEYMAN
Popular Welsh defender Gareth Jelleyman was with Stags from 2005-2008 and described by then manager Billy Deaden as one of his top three players during his time managing there. He made over 140 appearances for Stags but it all ended in tears as Stags were relegated from the EFL in 2008. Jelleyman was offered a new deal but moved onto Rushden. He spent the 2009/10 season at Barrow. Photo: Gary M. Prior
6. OTIS KHAN
A Manchester United youth player, midfielder Otis Khan promised much but struggled for consistency during his time at Mansfield Town between 2018 and 2020. His first post-United club was Sheffield United from where Barrow was one of his three loan spells in 2015/16. Khan was due to be involved against Stags with Walsall last weekend but was ill overnight and missed out. Photo: Clive Mason
7. LIAM HEARN
He played and starred for Grimsby Town. But Hearn's time there was riddled with injuries. After looking a superb signing in pre-season 2014, Hearn's spell at Mansfield Town was wrecked by a serious knee injury sustained in his only start against Sheffield United in the League Cup. He bounced back to play for Lincoln but, after a fall-out, went out to Barrow on loan. He continues to be much-travelled in non-league and has already been at four teams this season, having recently moved to Basford United. Photo: Pete Norton
8. JACK THOMAS
Midfielder Jack Thomas came through the Stags' youth system and part of the squad from 2014 to 2018, initially shining brightly but then fading. As part of Stags trying to re-ignite his mojo, Thomas was sent out to Barrow on loan on 2017. Photo: Pete Norton
