Teversal well beaten at Amateurs

But the hosts controlled the game from start to finish to deservedly win 3-0.

Fishley played a precise pass behind the Tevie defence to allow Heard to fire in a 10th-minute shot to give Amateur the lead.

It could have been worse just two minutes when Dalton got to the byline before cutting in towards goal.

Luke Weaver tugged the striker back to concede a penalty, but keeper Joshua Dalton dived full length to his right to make a fine save from the spot-kick.

Before Teversal could create an opening Turton again made impressive stop to deny Toure’s 25-yard effort.

At the other end Dave Cockerill’s guided header saw Danny Fletcher get the better of Freeman to go one-on-one with Bojang, but the keeper came out on top.

Teversal forced several corners with the best chance falling to Fletcher. Bojang saved and Brett Watson fired the rebound against the post, but the midfielder was judged offside.

Just before half-time Cockerill’s well-struck free kick was tipped away from the top corner.

On the hour the Ammers made it 2-0 when Marsden’s free kick towards the far post was powerfully headed in by Swales.

In the final minute Amateurs secured victory with a controversial goal.

Teversal were ruled offside midway in the hosts’ half but play was allowed to go on when the Ammers took the free kick quickly five yards from the halfway line.

Noteman hit a ball behind the Teversal defence and Hughes calmly lobbed Turton to complete the scoring.

Teversal are 15th with 40 points from 37 matches.
