Teversal boss Scott Simspson and assistant Jason Truscott have resigned from the club.
The duo handed in their notice after Saturday’s 4-0 drubbing at home to Hall Road Rangers left Teversal with having lost 15 of their last 16 matches.
The defeat leaves Teversal in 17th place in NCEL Division One following their freefall down the table.
A club statement said: “After discussions with our chairman Peter Cockerill after the 4-0 home loss to Hall Road Rangers our first team manager Scott Simpson and his assistant Jason Truscott offered their resignation, which Peter accepted on behalf of the club’s directors.
“The club would like to thank Scott and Jason for their efforts and wish them all the very best for the future.
“Our main aim at the moment is to ensure that we maintain our Step 6 status within the National League System.”
Teversal created the first opening when Hopes had a header cleared off the line by Chadwick from Robinson’s corner.
The game was swinging from end to end but the visitors looked threatening with Daniel Walker and Sam O’Mally looking a threat with Liam Bacon making some excellent saves on his debut after joining from AFC Mansfield last week.
The best of his saves coming from Walker who cut in from the right to drive a low effort that the young Keeper did superbly to save with an outstretched foot at the base of the near post.
Teversal created the final chance of the half when Brentnall who looked destined to head home, before being denied by Kinsley.
But Teversal collapsed in the second half as the visitors took the lead on 53 minutes Daniel Walker guided the ball past Bacon from O’Mally’s header.
Things went from bad to worse four minutes when later Hall Road scored from the spot through Danny Walker after Hutchinson was ruled to handled the ball.
Entering the final 10 minutes Hall Road was playing the confidence that a 2-0 lead gives you and started to expose the gaps being left as Tevie tried to salvage something from the game.
But on 83 minutes the best goal was scored when Darren Rookes unleashed an unstoppable effort that flew into the top corner after a swift passing move down the left flank.
The final goal summed up Teversal’s day when a weak back pass to Bacon put the keeper under pressure and the Keeper’s attempted clearance was blocked Tucker, who was able to smash home after winning the race for the loose ball.
