Almost immediately Parkgate threw everything at Teversal, forcing the home side to put themselves in the firing line for a series of shots with a triple stop by keeper, post and keeper again keeping the goal intact.

It remained 1-0 to Teversal at the break.

On 57 minutes Parkgate were back in the game with a low strike by Alex Lill that went in off the foot of the post.

However, just five minutes later the Tevie Boys were back in front.

Josh Radford challenged and beat the keeper to the loose ball and, as it trickled towards the goal line, Kurtis Bamford, whilst under pressure from a defender, slid in to make sure the ball made it over the line.

It was a fifth win from as many pre-season games as Teversal look to take that momentum into the forthcoming 2016/17 NCEL Division One season.

Their campaign begins on Saturday, August 6 against Eccleshill United (3pm kick off).

That game signals the start of three consecutive home matches for the Teversal boys.
