Swanwick Pentrich Road ended their goal drought with 5-0 win over Southwell City.

A towering header from Swanwick skipper Richard Wall from a well delivered corner broke the deadlock.

The game’s second goal came from yet another corner, with Shane Buckerfield heading the ball home for his first of the afternoon.

Southwell did try to turn the Swanwick back four but Gregory, Whitmore and Gross all held firm following the lead of the impressive Richard Wall.

The second half saw the Swans enjoy far more possession and Swanwick began to dominate possession.

The goal of the match came on the stroke of 50 minutes when a well delivered free kick, fell over the shoulder of Shane Buckerfield, which was followed by a glorious chip that nestled nicely into the net.

The final third of the match belonged to the hard working Swans wingers as the home side made breaks behind the tiring Southwell side.

Dean Owen was set free and drilled the ball home past the oncoming keeper.

With 15 minutes left on the clock, it was the turn of winger Matthew Phillips to get in on the goalscoring action.

This time Guy Wilding was set free to cut the back across the goal, where the ball was dispatched in a clinical fashion by Phillips.
