Substitute scores on his debut

Clipstone got back to winning ways with a 3-1 home victory over Borrowash Victoria to go seventh in the East Midlands Counties League.

Dean Rick and Olly Ashton netted in the first half, and debutant substitute Ethan Wiesztort made it 3-0 in the second period before the visitors replied.

Cobras boss Micky Taylor said: “We are delighted to have brought in (winger)Ethan, he gives us something different.

“The game wasn’t a spectacle but we did the job.

“I couldn’t ask for anymore from the lads.”

“It would have been nice to have scored a few more goals, especially with the chances we had, but this was about playing professionally and getting the points.”

The Cobras overcame the loss of centre halves Jason Gregory, through injury, and Charlie Taylor, who left for Worksop Town the previous week.
