The new machine will aid the work of the groundstaff at the RH Academy, the club’s training ground.

SSA chairman Dean Foulkes told www.mansfieldtown.net: “SSA have for many years been delighted to fund various items to assist club groundstaff, this latest £2,000 donation to pay for a new mower follows the recent £2,000 donation for hire costs of the kit van used by the club.

“Thanks again to the brilliant SSA membership for their fabulous support.

“If any other individuals, companies or supporters groups wish to donate to SSA to help towards future donations please do get in touch with SSA via email at [email protected] or by telephone on 07967 689597.”

Head groundsman Michael Merriman said: “We’re pleased to receive the Toro 6500 hundred mower which will be used at the training ground.

“It can cut a pitch one way in around half an hour. As supporters may see on matchdays, we cut with the small mowers at One Call Stadium, but there is much more grass at the RH Academy so it’ll help get the work done quicker and more efficiently.

“We’re very grateful to the Stags Supporters’ Association, its committee and members,” he added.
