Stags Supporters’ Association donate cash towards kit van hire

Mansfield Town’s official supporters’ club, Stags Supporters’ Association, has donated £2,000 towards the hire of a new kit van.

The vehicle will be used to transport the Stags’ first team kit to away matches for the remainder of the 2020-21 season.

SSA chairman Dean Foulkes said: “We’re delighted to have donated this sum towards the hire of an essential vehicle and to aid kit manager Tobias Rowan and the first team. We remain in talks with the club about a longer-term deal.

Stags’ chief executive officer David Sharpe said: “We express our gratitude to the SSA, its committee and members for supporting the club in this way.

“Since being appointed as CEO, I’ve been heartened to learn of the SSA’s support towards the club, in organising away travel, fundraising and annual donations, amongst other contributions.

“The club enjoys an excellent relationship with its supporters’ club and their unwavering backing is greatly appreciated, especially in these challenging times.”
