STAGS RETRO: The year Crewe proved to be the Stags' bogey side
That campaign, Crewe romped to a 5-0 win at Field Mill early in the season, while they returned to win 4-0 in the Football League Trophy.
Add to that a 3-0 defeat at Gresty Road in the FA Cup and a 2-0 loss there in the league, and it proved a pretty horrid team for Stags to face.

The scores were goalless until Richard Walker put the visitors in front on the half-hour mark, the first of three goals in eight disastrous minutes as Rodney Jack and then Rob Hulse added further strikes before half-time.
Stephen Foster made it 4-0 just after half-time before Kenny Lunt wrapped things up midway through the second-half.
