STAGS ON THIS DAY: Mansfield turn Millers over on live TV
A 3-2 win at Rotherham United maintained the Stags’ push for a play-off place in Nationwide Division Three, although in the end it was a challenge that fell away as Mansfield eventually finished in 17th place, 16 points behind the top seven.
The Chad’s John Lomas reported on the game and said it was ‘compelling viewing’ for those sat watching at home.

Hide AdIt was a family affair too as Stags’ Jonathan Fortune came up against Rotherham striker and his uncle Leo Fortune-West, the Mansfield man having a fine game in what was his last appearance for the club.
Michael Boulding put Stags ahead after just eight minutes before Chris Greenacre’s stunning 25-yard effort made it 2-0 just six minutes later.
Stags missed chances to make it three and were punished when Chris Sedgwick brought United into the game on 35 minutes with a fine solo effort.
Darrell Clarke restored the two-goal deficit on 65 minutes, and although Sedgwick scored again to make it 3-2, the Stags would hold on to take the points.
