The Stags romped to a 3-0 success despite calls for an improvement to the playing staff.

An own goal from County’s Butler gave the hosts the lead after 23 minutes following an error from a routine corner.

County responded by smacking a post but Mansfield hit back and almost doubled their advantage but Uphill’s effort was deflected narrowly wide.

The Stags did eventually get their second on 47 minutes when Barry Thomas cleverly hooked the ball into the net.

Downie then had a chance to make it three but fluffed his effort before Thomas’ strike was ruled out for offside.

The third eventually did arrive late into the game through Lindy Delapenha, who found the corner of the net in fine style to round off a satisfying win for the Stags.
