SLIDESHOW: Shirebrook end their season with a victory

Shirebrook Town finished the 15/16 season with a 1-0 win over Worsbrough Bridge on Saturday.

The first-half had an end of season feel about it with the only talking point being the visitors having a goal ruled out for offside, and the closest Shirebrook coming to breaking the deadlock being a Parsons shot which hit the side netting.

The second-half wasn’t much better with the visitors having to put an outfield player in goal, but Shirebrook struggled to test the keeper until with nine minutes of the season remaining Oliver Beaumont finally broke the deadlock with a header that left the keeper with no chance - the goal being Beaumont’s third in three games since signing for the club.

This win left Shirebrook in seventh place in the table, just missing out on a play-off place by four points.
