The home side would have happily called an end to proceedings after just 20 seconds when Kurtis Morley lashed home a wonderful strike from 20 yards out to stop any nerves from jangling early on.

Teversal saw a Joshua Radford effort ruled out for offside, while at the other end Josh Turner saw a shot fall just wide.

Shirebrook started to looked decidedly uncertain and on 34 minutes a mistake from the defence gifted the ball to Danny Fullwood, who converted from a tight angle to level the scores at the interval.

As the wind increased in strength it was Teversal who had gained the upper hand and Shirebrook were struggling to get a foothold in the game/

The decisive goal came on the hour mark when Liam Vardy raced away down the inside right channel and drove home a glorious effort past Daniel Hartshorn.

The post saved Teversal when Morley saw his effort rebound to safety later on, but that was the only response from the home side as the visitors comfortably finished on the front foot and went clear of Shirebrook on goal difference with three games in hand.

For the home side the new management team has seen an improvement in performances and results, but the last two games has seen them fail to beat two teams below them in the table.
