Shirebrook started the better of the two teams with the in form Nathan Jessop having the first chance of the game.

But the visitors soon started to test Michael Ball in the Shirebrook goal.

And the early pressure soon paid off in the 14th minute when Connor Roberts gave Borrowash the lead.

Shirebrook weren’t behind for long as, in the 20th minute, Luke Manlove scored in off the post.

The hosts started to dominate the half with Nathan Jessop hitting the bar with a header and Jacob France, Will Dodds and Grant Mitchell all going close.

Borrowash came flying out the traps at the start of the second half with them having a number of chances.

However Shirebrook looked dangerous on the break and Manlove almost doubled his tally when he saw his shot go just wide of the far post.

In the final 20 minutes Shirebrook were under a lot of pressure with Michael Ball coming to the rescue a number of times to keep Shirebrook level despite Borrowash throwing everything at them.

Shirebrook are back in action on Saturday when Clipstone FC are the visitors to Langwith Road.
