Sherwood Colliery ease to derby win over Teversal

Sherwood Colliery eased to a 4-0 win over Teversal on Monday to keep up their perfect record.

Sherwood made four changes, with Dale Sheppard, Nathan Clarke, Ricky Starbuck and Liam Hearn all recalled to the starting XI as manager Wayne Savage prepares for a run of eight games in 32 days.

The game itself followed the script with Sherwood dominating possession against a packed Teversal defence.

The home side opened the scoring after 21 minutes following a Liam Hearn free-kick.

Strike partner Kieran Wells doubled the lead after 28 minutes with a close range effort.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with Hearn (48 minutes) and Wells (58 minutes) adding further goals.

A flurry of home substitutions saw a debut for defender Jack Dando and game time for Brad Wells and Liam Theakstone.

Teversal did force a good save from Sheppard who dived low to his left to keep out the visitor’s best effort in the closing stages.
