Sherwood made four changes, with Dale Sheppard, Nathan Clarke, Ricky Starbuck and Liam Hearn all recalled to the starting XI as manager Wayne Savage prepares for a run of eight games in 32 days.

The game itself followed the script with Sherwood dominating possession against a packed Teversal defence.

The home side opened the scoring after 21 minutes following a Liam Hearn free-kick.

Strike partner Kieran Wells doubled the lead after 28 minutes with a close range effort.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with Hearn (48 minutes) and Wells (58 minutes) adding further goals.

A flurry of home substitutions saw a debut for defender Jack Dando and game time for Brad Wells and Liam Theakstone.

Teversal did force a good save from Sheppard who dived low to his left to keep out the visitor’s best effort in the closing stages.
