Sherwood Colliery and Selston progress into semi-finals of CMFL League Challenge Cup
Danny Williams hit both goals at Debdale Park to secure a memorable win for Scott Rogers’ men.
They are joined in the next round by South Division leaders Selston, who defeated Harworth Colliery in a fiercely competitive tie at Scrooby Road.

Hide AdSelston fell behind in the 16th minute as Paul Burgess headed Harworth into the lead.
But the complexion of the game was changed with two Selston goals in two minutes as Carl Moore and Daniel Henshaw produced headed goals to boost the visitors.
Moore got his second on 52 minutes, but Harworth fought back with a goal from sub Josh Paskell and although they held the balance of play in the closing stages couldn’t come up with an equaliser.
There was another inter-divisional tie at Debdale Park with the southern side again coming out on top, Sherwood Colliery edging out Tideswell United 2-1.

Hide AdFC Bolsover extended their lead at the top of the Black Dragon Badges North division to nine points, winning 2-0 at Bilsthorpe in a match which marked the half way point in their season. Daniel Russell and Adam Barrett were the Bolsover scorers.
It wasn’t such a good day for two of the chasing pack, with Appleby Frodingham going down 2-0 at Retford, and Clay Cross Town losing 5-2 at AFC Bentley.
Welbeck Lions included several new young signings in a more encouraging performance, but still went down to an eight goal defeat at the hands of Dronfield Town Reserves.
There was only limited action in the Black Dragon Badges South division, where Blidworth Welfare brought a little of their FA Vase form to their game with Keyworth United with goals from Tim Gregory and Brendan Williams securing a 2-1 win.
