Few though will compare to the whopping seven-hour round trip to see Stags face Barrow at the weekend.
It ended in defeat with Barrow overturning a 2-0 deficit at half-time to beat Stags 4-3 after an entertaining second half.
On this occasison the result of course matters little with the visitors getting another 45 minutes in the legs with two different teams taking to the pitch in each half.
“It was a good step up for us physically after Tuesday. The lads are into their second 45 minutes, though Barrow are a little bit ahead of us and most of their lads did 60 minutes,” reflected boss Nigel Clough.
“I’m very pleased with the workout, not so much the second half defending. We will look at that data and see, but they were both good physical halves.”
Take a look and see if you can spot a familiar face in these pics of the fans who headed to Holker Street.
