Alfreton Town travel to face Lincoln City in Skrill Premier action on Tuesday night with manager Nicky Law looking for his side to bounce back from last Saturday’s narrow 1-0 defeat at Barnet.
The Reds boss should welcome striker Paul Clayton back after illness last weekend but he is without central midfield player John McGrath whose knee injury looks like keeping him out for several weeks. And manager Law will also require a late check on central defender Michael Wylde who exited the Barnet game early at the weekend with a hamstring problem.
Alfreton will be hoping to continue their 100 per cent record in Lincolnshire. A 2-1 Reds win in the FA Cup in the 2011/12 season was followed by a 1-0 win at Sincil Bank in the league in the same campaign. Last season saw the Reds triumph 2-1 in the league in Lincolnshire.
The Imps are currently 18th in the table, five points above the relegation places.
And City go into the game in decent form having drawn both of their last two games including a 1-1 share of the local derby spoils at Grimsby Town on New Year’s Day and a goalless draw with league leaders Luton Town at Sincil Bank last Saturday.
Former Reds striker Ben Tomlinson is currently top scorer for the Imps with seven league goals.
