Neil, who has managed 16 different clubs from non-league to the Premier League, holds the record for the most promotions in English football, with eight.
He announced his retirement from the game in April 2022 after 42 years as a manager but he has just come out of retirement to manage Championship club Huddersfield Town on a short-term contract.
He has a thousand stories from his illustrious career and many that have never been told.
Hear about his early career as a player in the lower leagues, making over 300 appearances, and what then inspired and drove him on to succeed and reach the highest level in management.
He made appearances for Chesterfield, Rotherham United, Hartlepool United, Scunthorpe United, Aldershot, Barnsley, York City, Crewe Alexandra and Burton Albion.
Neil has since managed Gainsborough Trinity, Burton Albion, Scarborough, Notts County, Torquay United, Huddersfield Town, Plymouth Argyle, Oldham Athletic, Bury, Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Queens Park Rangers, Leeds United, Rotherham United, Cardiff City, Middlesbrough and now again he’s back at Huddersfield Town
