Pre-season programme aims to give real test to Mansfield Town
Mansfield Town's pre-season programme is no place for the faint-hearted.
As Stags complete their fourth week back, boss David Flitcroft said: “I never design a programme for the weaker players.
“I will always design it for the strongest players and then we all catch up to that.
“With the World Cup, stats were going through the roof. With modern technology, diet and the different ways coaches are looking to do things stats are going north all the time.
“The ability to run and being dynamic and powerful will serve us all season.
“We see the Rotherham game a week on Saturday as the real test in terms of what we might encounter when the season starts.”
