FULL-TIME: Mansfield 0-3 Port Vale

Simply wasn’t to be for Stags today. Very little went their way and Vale are deserved winners.

Tough to take from a Stags perspective as so much more was expected, but two quick goals in the first-half and then the red card killed them and they didn’t have enough to respond.

Reaction will be posted here and on the Chad website later on.

Into three minutes of stoppage time.

Vale boss Darrell Clarke full of emotion on the touchline. He’s had such a tough time of late but his team have done him, and his family, proud today.

85’ GOAL - Mansfield 0-3 Port Vale

It had to be Mal Benning, didn’t it? David Worrall’s deep cross finds the ex-Stags man at the back post and he slides in the third goal. He’s had a good game, in fairness, and it’s helped take his side up.

Worrall is then replaced by Aaron Martin.

There are 37,303 here today. Great support from both sets of fans.

Stags are next to make a change as Lukas Akins replaces Stephen Quinn.

Jamie Proctor replaces Kian Harratt for Port Vale.

Stags still enjoying the lion’s share of the ball with Vale seemingly happy to catch them on the break at the moment. A goal back would make it interesting though...

Oates again from distance - a bit more optimistically this time - and the ball flies wide of the far post.

Stags coming into the game a bit in the last five minutes. They just need one to fall their way.

Good Stags chance as Oates gets the ball on the edge of the box and his shot is parried wide by Stone.

Another Vale goal is ruled out, Charsley well offside when found before finding the net one-on-one. Stags open at the back though.
