ON THIS DAY: Nottingham Forest lift the European Cup - 30th May 1979
Some 38 years ago today, Nottingham Forest conquered Europe for the first time in the club's history with a 1-0 win over Malmo in Munich's Olympic Stadium.
It would be the first of two European Cups for Brian Clough and Peter Taylor’s side, who went on to retain the honour 12 months later, at Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
