Town are currently sixth in the Premier Division of the East Midlands Regional Football League with just goal difference separating them from third-placed Rotherham United.

And Bullock believes it is all to play for whenever football returns.

“There are four teams on nine points which shows how wide open the league is,” he said.

“It is going to be anyone’s.Whoever puts a good run together will be there or thereabouts.

“We want to stay in touch. We've never finished in the top three and that's always our target.

“It is going to be a challenge, particularly considering our resources. Nevertheless we believe we have got a group group, certainly to compete.”

Ollerton have won three and lost two this season, with the defeats coming against leaders Peterborough and second-place Loughborough.

And Bullock believes those results show his side has nothing to fear.

“We have seen enough teams this season to know we can be competitive,” he added.

“It is an unpredictable season and if we are at our best we can achieve top three.

“Peterborough are by far the best team in this league and ran away with it last year, but they have already given up five points this season which is not like them.

“We have seen other teams drop points where they wouldn't usually.

“There's a number of factors that come into play - whether that is fatigue, concentration or fixture frequency, that will affect teams in different ways.

“What we aren't seeing this season is the dominance we have seen in previous years from the likes of Peterborough and Rotherham.

“It will be a much more competitive and wide open season.”
