Ollerton boss Winter apologises to fans after dismal goalless draw
But at least his side had every reason to be satisfied with a point as they brought to an end the North Yorkshire outfit’s four-game winning run.
“It was not very pretty and I felt sorry for the spectators who turned up to watch,” said Winter. “There was a lot of endeavour from us, but not much end-product unfortunately. We failed to play for the entire 90 minutes. Ultimately, however, I was not disappointed with a draw.”

For mid-table Selby, James Arnold and Dane Mortimer went close, and then Callam Terrell should have done better with a header from a free-kick.
In the second half, the hosts enjoyed the lions’ share of possession, but could not find a way past an Ollerton defence, well marshalled by Rob Evans and Jordan Schofield. The visitors pushed Greg Tobin into a more advanced role but despite his aerial prowess, they couldn’t trouble Lawrie.
