In the Black Dragon Badges South Division, Selston rose to second in the table after a 6-0 home win against Holbrook St Michaels.

Five of them came in the first half, with Carl Moore and Tom Widdowson setting the goals rolling within the first ten minutes.

Wayne Cooke, Carl Moore and Ben Moore extended the lead by the break, but an 86th minute strike from Aaron Brady was the only addition in the second half. Selston are level on points with Sherwood Colliery and Eastwood Community, but have a much superior goal difference.

Ollerton Town met Easington United in the only game in the Black Dragon Badges North division and took their winning league sequence to five with a 4-2 victory.

An even first half saw Chris Hewitt’s 18th minute penalty equalised by Mark Hutchinson seven minutes later.

Ollerton stepped up a gear after the interval, goals from Danny Wiltshire and James Foster giving them a two goal advantage before Paul Wilkinson’s 88th minute goal gave the visitors a faint hope which was extinguished by Kyle Ludlow in stoppage time.

The win lifts Ollerton to sixth in the table.

In the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA Challenge Cup, Harworth Colliery reserves ran out of credit as they went down 3-1 at Sheffield Bankers.
