Stags didn’t help themselves with uncharacterstic defensive lapses costing them two goals during the 2-1 defeat at Wigan.
A bright first half faded somewhat with Stags unable to find a way back into it once they fell behind for a second time,.

1. Anthony Nunez - 6
Nunez had a steady game during his Stags debut,, though he didn't have too many opportunities to show what he could do. Nothing he could do to prevent either goal. Punched instead of caught the ball a bit too often for my liking and got away with one when Wigan hit the post from once such save in the second half. Photo: Chris Holloway
2. Kyle Knoyle - 6
A steady display and did what he needed to do well to help keep things largely tight for Stags at the back. Blew a great to equalise in the closing stages when he shot straight at the keeper when either side was probably in. Photo: Getty Images
3. Deji Oshilaja - 7
A typical commanding Deji type display. It wasn’t the busiest of afternoons but he did what he had to do effectively. Perhaps could have done better in the first phase of the build up to Wigan's winner. Photo: Chris Holloway
4. Ryan Sweeney - 7
Rock solid when it came to crunch tackles and the physical side of the game. Subbed shortly after one such coming together due to already being on a booking. Photo: UGC
