Moniz watched his side record a second successive clean sheet during Tuesday’s stalemate at Bristol Rovers.

And now he is targeting more of the same ahead of the long trip to Exeter on Saturday.

He said: “We will have added belief from keeping two clean sheets and, as you know, we have an older spine of the team now, but I don’t care.

“Enough was enough and it is now down to the younger players to put them under pressure again.

“The ideal scenario would be that the younger players are in the spine.”

Moniz also had warm words for defender Alan Sheehan, who he believes is key to helping build from the back.

He added: “Alan is a good footballer and in the central role you need that if you want to build out from the back.

“The moment you have a player in there who doesn’t want the ball, Roy (Carroll) will play every ball long.

“Then, mostly, 50 per cent of the balls are then given to the opponent.

“The moment Alan gets man-marked then Eddy (Mike Edwards) must do it.

“But for Alan and his development it is important.

“Sometimes he was isolated when he played at left-back, but against Yeovil he was fantastic.

“It is something he must continue.”
