Normanton slip to defeat

South Normanton headed to Lowfields for what looked like another easy three points, but Barrowby just didn’t read the script to bring the South Normanton’s feet firmly back on the floor after a 3-0 win

The second half went from bad to worse when on 52 minutes from a corner, the ball landed at the feet of Callum Tyndall, who hit the ball at goal.

The ball was cleared by Shane Garton which hit the head of his own player, Danny Roberts, and went flying into the goal.

On 67 came a brilliant goal when Normanton lost possession in midfield.

The ball was perfect for Joe Clarke on his own up front for Barrowby. He had a couple of touches and put the ball past Scott Whittingham to seal all three points.
