Again Teversal put in a performance that should have seen them win the game comfortably, but again individual errors, missed chances and a sending-off saw them end up with nothing after under-minding their own efforts.
The first 10 minutes was a game of cat and mouse, but then Teversal took hold of the match to dominate the opening period.
Even the loss of Rob Orton after only 12 minutes didn’t hinder the Tevie Boys with Tobin coming on to support Slawson in the Teversal attack.
Cockerill and Slawson both missed good chances and the cost of those was realised on 44 minutes, when the visitors’ first defensive lapse saw them go 1-0 down.
A ball over the top found Howland on the left flank and he attacked the box before firing a low cross that Wilson could only parry into the path of Matty Moore to fire home and put a totally wrong reflection on how the game had gone.
The comedy defending continued after the break when, after Wilson was forced into making an excellent double save to deny Edwards.
Wild then played the ball straight to Banks whose fierce drive saw Wilson again make an excellent attempt to save, with his effort making the ball fly up and Gregory reacting by putting his hand up, giving the referee no option but to award a penalty and a straight red card to the Tevie defender.
Marcus Edwards made no mistake with the penalty on 52 minutes. Teversal were never in the game from then on and it was simply a matter of how many would Eccleshill score.
On 52 minutes it was 3-0 as a needless free kick was conceded 20 yards from goal and Scott Price unleashed a fierce strike that Wilson had covered until it took a wicked deflection off the edge of the defensive wall and into the top corner.
Banks, shown a deserved second yellow and red card, left numbers even for the last 11 minutes as the game turned into a non-event.
