Every club dreams of a run in the FA Cup and Teversal will be disappointed in their showing that allowed Harborough Town of the United Counties League to progress with a 2-1 win.
The visitors, with a strong wind behind, took the lead in the very first minute when Colin Cockerill swung in a near post corner that was flicked on by Tobin for Harcourt to smash home from close range.
The home side did manage to get in the game with Danny and Joey Wright both denied by Brooks in the Teversal goal.
Teversal picked up the tempo to regain the better of the possession, but failed to turn it into goalscoring efforts with both Dave and Colin Cockerill wasting free kicks around the penalty area.
Harborough certainly did enough to warrant their progression after having the better of the second period.
It certainly helped that, after a succession of corners, the score were levelled on 47 minutes when Alex McMillan whipped in a corner to the near post and Whitmore, in attempting to head clear, guided it past his own goalkeeper to level the scores.
The winner came in the 75th minute when another McMillan corner was cleared to Cirelli 20 yards from goal who then unleashed a superb strike through the crowded penalty area to make it 2-1.
Teversal were left feeling aggrieved at the standard of refereeing after they had an equaliser disallowed when striker Oli Wood was released by Pursglove’s throughball and the Harborough goalkeeper rushed out of his box to clear the danger.
He then smashed the ball against Wood from just a yard away with the ball and Wood running towards goal to slide home the equaliser.
But the assistant referee put up his flag and, after consultation with the referee, gave a free-kick for handball.
The visitors also felt Harborough should have been reduced to 10 men following two incidents either side of half time.
Firstly when Dominic Page went in with a dangerous tackle on Will Harcourt, which lead to him needing treatment before being subbed at half-time
And, as Teversal tried to get back in the game, Wood was elbowed in the face by Daine Tendai as the striker tried to get goalside of the centre-half, with the refereeing deciding to take no action.
