ALFRETON Town head into Saturday’s Blue Square Bet Premier Division home game against Woking with the chance to record a first league double of the season.
The Reds won the first league encounter of the season between the sides 2-1 on 17th November with Paul Clayton netting a brace on 26 and 54 minutes for the Reds, Brett Williams equalising on 39 for the Cards.
Reds manager Nicky Law will be without Anton Brown who picked up a hamstring strain in the midweek Derbyshire Senior Cup romp at Mickleover Royals and central defender Adam Quinn will need a late check on a slight calf strain.
However, Law will have Louie Soares available again after ineligibility ruled him out of the last three games and the Reds boss will have plenty of selection options all over the park with no other injury or suspension worries and Scott Boden and Steven Hewitt also returning to the squad.
Following their 4-2 defeat at league leaders Grimsby Town last Saturday, Alfreton slipped to 17th in the table and are urgently in need of a first win in the league in five games.
Woking arrive in 11th place in the table, six places and four points better off than the Reds and with a game in hand.
The Cards have a total of 38 points but only ten of those have been picked up on their travels with three wins, one draw and nine defeats away from Surrey so far this season.
However, one big word of warning is that Garry Hill’s side arrive in peak form and with five wins and one draw in their last six league outings, are the division’s top form side.
Top scorer for Woking in the league is Bradley Bubb who has hit 11 so far. Kevin Betsy is the second highest with 7.
There is no segregation in place for the Woking league fixture but visiting fans are requested to enter the stadium via the away turnstiles at the Alma Street end of the Impact Arena only.
Admission is £18 for adults and £12 for concessions (U16s, Over-65s and students upon production of a student card).
However, Early Bird Match Tickets are available priced at £16 and £11 respectively and these can be obtained by calling the ticket office on 01159 392090 extension 107 on Thursday and Friday between 9.30am to 2.30pm each day.
