Alfreton back in action after weather lay-off as they head for Braintree

Alfreton Town are back in Blue Square Bet Premier Division action after two postponements tonight when they travel to Essex to face Braintree Town.

Red manager Nicky Law has been boosted by then news that goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has extended his loan from Sunderland to the end of the season and club captain Darran Kempson is available again following a groin injury.
That just leaves goalkeeper Phil Barnes as the only absentee for the fixture as there are no other injury or suspension worries.

The first game of the season between the sides finished in a 1-1 draw at the Impact Arena way back on September 29th with a 44th minute Dan Bradley penalty being cancelled out by another spot-kick from the Iron’s Kenny Davis on 74 minutes.

Kick-off at Cressing Road is 7.45pm and ATFC Supporters’ Association transport departs at 3.45pm.

Alfreton Town’s Blue Square Bet Premier Division home game against Tamworth has been rearranged for Thursday, 11th April with a 7.45pm kick-off.

The match was postponed on Tuesday, 26th March due to an unfit Impact Arena playing surface.

Reds manager Nicky Law has extended the loan of keeper Jordan Pickford to the end of the season. The highly rated 19-year-old has been in outstanding form since joining the Reds on 25th February and has yet to feature on a losing side with Alfreton recording three wins and two draws in the five games he has played.
