AFC Mansfield made it five games unbeaten after beating Dronfield Town 5-0 away on Wednesday night.
Taking a two goal lead into the break with Declan Brewin and Joe Naylor finding the back of the net, The Bulls then increased the scoreline in the second half with a goal from Captain Grant Allott and a brace from Mark Ward.
It was a quick turnaround for the hosts having played at home on Monday night against Selby and securing a 2-1 win.
This though was probably a game too far and they were outplayed throughout the 90 minutes.
Brewin opened the scoring on 14 minutes after a perfect pass from Mitchell.
Joe Naylor was unlucky not to double the score on 18 minutes as his header crashed against the bar and then unbelievably his follow up hit the post before being hacked away to safety.
Naylor finally doubled the lead in the 40th minute when he rose in the box to head home a Brewin cross.
Mitchell fired over the bar on the hour mark as the visitors continued to dominate play.
Mitchell thought he had his goal on 70 minutes when he finished from close range after Mark Ward had rattled the post with a header and Jimmy Ghaichem had the follow up parried by Henson. But luck wasn’t with the striker and an assistants flag denied him.
Ward looked hungry for a goal and, on 72 minutes, he saw a rasping drive turned around the post by Henson.
Mitchell was again denied by the keeper before Ward finally got the third getting the final touch in the six yard box from a Kyle Ludlow long throw.
The fourth goal came on 83 minutes when Grant Allott volleyed home from a Ghaichem corner that Henson only half cleared.
Ward then rifled past Henson in the final minute to complete the scoring.
