Reds manager Nicky Law has no new injury worries as he looks for his side to build on their six-game unbeaten run in all competitions and there should be plenty of confidence in the squad after five wins and a draw in that run which includes four straight victories in the last few outings.

Chorley arrive in DE55 land with three defeats in their last five away games although they did record a fine 4-2 victory at Harrogate Town. On their travels they have won five, drawn two and lost five so far.

In their latest game, they beat Corby Town 3-0 in Lancashire a fortnight ago with goals from Adam Roscoe and a brace from leading scorer Josh Hine who has since departed the club and joined Salford City for an undisclosed fee which will be a major blow for the Magpies.

The first meeting of the sides this season saw Alfreton triumph 2-1 at Victory Park way back on September 5th, 2015. The Reds came from behind to win after Andy Bond had given the hosts a 36th minute lead with goals from John Jonhnston on 75 and Jordan Robertson on 77.

A win for Chorley would see them close the gap on the play off places whilst Alfreton could climb into the top ten of the division with a victory.

FUND RAISER

The day will see Alfreton Town Supporters’ Association stage their second annual ‘Flat Cap Day’ fund raiser in memory of ‘Mr Alfreton Town’, the late Tom McRoy. All donations can be made on the day to any Supporters’ Association member.
