Mansfield head to Boundary Park on the back of three league wins in a row.

“I'm looking for us to be strong and resilient and get us back to the performance level of the last three league games,” he said.

“We need to show the effort and desire, when we do that we are a match for most teams in this league.

“We are capable of scoring goals wherever we go. I hope we create chances to score goals.

“Jamie Reid’s performances and workrate has been exceptional without getting a goal, he is due one.

“It is about being tight and not conceding.”

He also feels the first goal will be important with Stags potentially weary after their draining FA Cup defeat at Cheltenham fresh in mind and legs.

“The first goal will be important,” he added. “We want to start the game quickly. You don't want to be chasing the game when you are mentaly and physically tired.

“It becomes tougher in that situation. We are in good shape at creating chances, we don’t always put them away but we are looking good going forward.”

James Perch is a doubt for the game with a sickness bug, while Ollie Clarke, Nicky Maynard and Kellan Gordon all rated as 50/50.
