The Reds welcome second-bottom Dartford with both sides needing a win in the hunt for survival.

Nicky Law’s side currently hold a five-point gap above the relegation zone whilst Dartford lie ten points adrift from safety and in desperate need of a win.

Alfreton drew 1-1 with Chester, on Saturday, after a late Heneghan equaliser denied Alfreton all three points. It was the first goal Alfreton have conceded in over five games.

Dartford lost 2-0 away to Southport as the home side scored twice to make sure they got the win. Brodie opened the scoring half way through the second half before Rutherford sealed the victory for the home side in the 90th minute.

A win for Nicky Law’s men could extend their gap above the relegation zone to eight points, but a loss could see the gap closed to just two points if Welling United win their game in hand.

However, Welling’s next fixtures are all against promotion-chasing sides. They are at home to Grimsby Town on Saturday, away at Woking the following Saturday and home to Eastleigh on Easter Monday.

A Reds win over Dartford would heap massive pressure on the Kent side.

A Dartford win would leave them seven points adrift, but a loss would leave them 13 ponts behind Alfreton with just seven games to go.
